Do I have a chance?

I bought it from game on release or something without checking reviews

Its not terribly bad apart from the campaign is only 7 missions long which can be done in say 2 hours?

The storyline is piss poor and medium AI is easy enough whereas hard just cheats/spams units at you.

It has like 0% re playability so, do I have a chance of instore credit or something?

Can I possibly make up a tale to get it (well the DRM is no tale, booting you off SINGLE PLAYER if you DQ from the EA servers losing all your progress

It's not terribly bad. No indeed it isn't. It's biblically bad.

I wish they'd make Generals 2 and stop with this complete rubbish. Why do people insist on utterly changing gameplay on a successful series??

Soooo do i have a chance in returning it if i tell the truth/say its flawed or w/e or am I stuck with it?

Hopefully they will patch the nature of the game...actually make you collect resources or at least put something in place to stop the only tactic which is, un pack walker, spam units...keep spamming

but my main gripe is how piss poor the story was - i enjoyed the previous ones but this, the acting was cheesey, well, terrible, and a lot of main plotline was missed out - hell i still dont know wtf happened plus it will pretty much drop you in a level without actually telling you what to do

No chance. You can't return PC games.

They wont patch the game either. They're gonna do the "New Coke" thing and bring back the old gameplay for C&C5 to make even more money.

Gotta say this is one Im glad I didnt buy, as if I had bought this I would have flipped at someone, I feel sorry for all the people that have bought it including a few friends.

Who ever decided to completely overhaul the game experience needs to be banished to a very cold and wet planet, after half hour of the same muck it came off my system, it is utter tripe.

Once you get level 2 tech then its the same old rinse and repeat, I was sorely disappointed that I couldn't build a base and what not again silly EA taking over Westwood we all knew it was going to happen.

And a word on the DRM its server based which means your connected to THERE servers all the time while playing you get connection issues and its game over with no save's,

NO broadband no play, so much for playing it on a laptop on the way back from college, work ect ect.

But the best part of there neolithic DRM is when they shut down there servers in around 10yrs time say goodbye to playing the game, and hands up who still plays the old classics as I do.

End of rant, again utter fail of a step in the wrong direction.

The thing is, it is literally the same gameplay over and over

All i do is unpack my walker near their walker, send out as many units as i want - but they have to be direct counters else u get owned (Wtf) and hope it doesnt do that thing where it has another 3 walkers compared to your one, which means it can build three times as many units - gameover

Can't return PC games unless it's still sealed.

Red alert is still my favourite, hell march always gets me pumped :p

guess i can try and sell it

oh wait, id have to change my account email address, password and give these to whoever buys it

pc gaming is dying

lol just a word for you game off a no quibble return policy. ive returned games to them and as soon as you say NO Quibble they just get the manger and you get the oky normally. never had a problem my self as i returned a few games in the past saying because of the DRM my system will not run it and the fact that the casing doesn't say any thing about this when you buy it or that you require a 24/7 connection is a load of bull.

You can say all this and get you money back. If they argue then point them in the direction of Trading standards. The item must be fit for purpose and in this case it is not ... (nice big legal loop holes to cover your ass with).

some games do say a internet connecttion is required and also talk openly about the DRM on the back of the case
