Replacing Case Fans

I've been looking at fans and I was looking at the coolermaster sickle flows and the noctua fans and the sickly flows have more CFM then the noctuas and equal or 1 more dB than the noctuas I think but is the noise level of the sickle flows that's advertised (19dB) the max noise level or is this the lowest? because I want good performing fans that are quiet and not have to pay like £60 just for 4 noctua fans.

Any fans people can recommend? I'm looking for 4 120mm fans and/or a 200mm fan.

Thanks

thats the max Db for the sickle flows I have 3 of them in my case and they are not loud at all. Love them.

May get them then because in a way they seem much better than the noctuas and they're £10 less plus I have a white and blue theme on the colossus so this helps

Got a 200mm BitFenix Spectre for the front because it's cheaper to get 4 sickle flows and the spectre than just 4 sickle flows because the free deliver kicks in after a certain price.

The Thermalright x-silent 14cm fan I own is quiet. The Enermax 12cm fans I've used are quiet at 900-1200rpm. I have a noctua nh-d14 and its fans are pretty quiet, as well.

Noctua NF-P14 FLX. They all fit in the BitFenix.

For the 200mm a CoolerMaster MegaFlow Blue 200mm.

I've got that now, the PC is quiet.

I would never reccommend a BitFenix fan after hearing a 230mm one in my rig

Actually there were two, but they are history now

DAMN!! your too late lol the noise level of the 200mm bitfenix spectre and the coolermaster megaflow are the same but the spectre is 65CFM and the megaflow is 110 CFM, would have been great for an intake, maybe later I'll upgrade to the megaflow If I want things better.

I will tell you though, from the BitFenix to the CoolerMaster:

GPU Idle went from 33degC to 28degC

CPU Idle went from about 37degC to 35degC

When I had my nh-d14 round the wrong way so that the fan was acting as an intake to the back my cpu was idling at 28-32 differential from core to core and as I changed it the proper way it went to 32-37 differential from core so can't wait to try out the new fans and also try putting one on the windowed side panel and see the difference of the temps on the gpu

Wait, is that solely the NH-D14 then? When it was the wrong way you got lower temps?

I'm going to try different fan configurations then when I get back from holiday. I'm idling about 38/39 on a 4.4GHz constant overclock, so let's see...

If you're buying fans for air cooling just get the highest CFM available which is Excaliburs/ Dark Wings. For the sake of an extra £2-3 a fan, it's worth it

They might be louder at max but you can always turn them down to get the same noise to cooling ratio of the lower end fans like Sickle flows - you then always have the option of cranking them up

Got my fans and from the specs of the MegaFlow it's way better than the spectre lol wish you were just a day earlier.
