Reference 780 Ti to DCUII, Worth it ?

Can't stop looking at the DCUII 780 Ti, Would the hassle of selling the 780 Ti and forking out the extra cash be worth it ?

DCUII coolers are overrated. I should know I have one and have used them in other builds. They're so generic.

Does this mean you're becoming an Asus guy now? ;P

Not in my opinion, but that won't stop you, will it? :p

I only needed 1 person to say it wasn't a good move ^_^

Hells no, More like 50/50 Razer and Asus ;)

Not worth it, you could even end up with a card that is slightly slower than you have now.

Cooleo thanks, Well that settles it, Maybe I'll invest in a 2nd monitor or some other gadget then, I have to stop getting bored, I get weird ideas about swapping parts of my rig ^_^

Tell you what, I'll do a swap with you. My GTX 780 DCUII for one of your GTX 780Ti's. Fair deal or what? :p

On a serious note, you won't notice the difference, and you'll probably end up with another hole in your pocket again.

True that, Plus seeing as I now have 2 x EVGA 780 Ti's in SLI this move would be 1 MAHOOSIVE pain in the rear and probably not be worth it for a small temp decrease and heat pipes sticking out, Plus as Kaapstad said I might even get lower clocks depending on the silicon lottery.

*EDIT*

Plus after shelling out for 2 custom made backplates for both my cards very recently I think it would just be a stupid decision come to think of it -

Gotta say I prefer the reference cooler over the DCUII anyway, despite that it doesn't perform quite as well :P

Just had a look at the 780 DCUII compared to the reference 780, Temps and clocks and the difference is not worth the hassle, The DCUII is around 10'c cooler at load when compared to the reference card.
Going by the non *Ti* version of the 780 I can't see there being a revolutionary jump in temps with the *TI* version.

My 780 with the DCUII cooler maxes out around 70C between gaming or Furmark. Gaming normally tends to be in the mid to high 60's.

Maybe not worth now but for 10-12 months you will need something because temps.
Accelero III is nice too and but water cooling best. Or you will get less performance.
If you think to keep card longer I suggest to search some better cooling solution.
Sell to someone who use water block or buy only Accelero Extreme III what is best for you...

I really don't like the look of the Accelero III, Looks cheap, Tacky and disgusting much like the Kingpin card :P

I 3 years think it's time for Accelero to change something.
Give some fat ugly look to cards... I love thine wide cards too.
And Accelero RAM cooler compared example with CORSAIR Airflow look completely funny.
Best look have water block, full cover, I like that mostly.
