Reducing my ignorance

I'm quite new to this forum, also my knowledge is woeful. Is there any chance of a beginners dictionary to help folks like me? Or maybe I am alone.

An example is "Folding", Ive tried a Google and search here, it does not help me, I'm sure it is not "a folding computer table" which is one result from Google. The search in these forums just produced chat about it, no definition.

Can any of the wise men of this forum please help. :worship:

folding is a form of distributed computing....where everybody on a "team" runs an application which churns out research for medical science, and also gets htat team points. teams compete against each other and we need all the folders we cna get to be th best!!

Thanks for the rapid reply, so now I know what it is. I have run a couple of this genre of program, in fact I am running "Find a Drug" at the moment. I have to say that having had a quick look at the site and your A to Z system of setting it up it is much more complex than others I have used. I will spend a little more time attempting to assimilate the info and post on the relevant thread if I need more help.

I must admit I hadn't a clue what it was all about. But after reading a few stickys I got it in the end and Ithink it's a great thing. Once I get my machine clocked and running todily I may start this foldin business!
