Recommend me a good cheap large capacity harddrive

Hi guys I defer to your judgement on a issue.

My partner has a thing for anime and likes to watch it on the pc, now my pc has only a 250gb sata2 in it, and I use 50GB for my Vista partition which I'm just mucking about with and rest mainly is almost used up with mp3's and my games.

I've a 80GB SATA Maxtor and 80GB IDE thing, which I'm using to back some of her stuff onto but times pressing that I need to bung something which has some serious capacity into this pc.

Now I am looking at about £150 top's which won't drag the performance of my system down to I gather I am looking at SATA2 right?

Hit me with your wisdom guys :D *uk based*

If u`r looking just to boost capacity, the 500g drives are a lovely addition, and the prices are really nice too atm. (almost gives u a feeling either something new is coming or they think solid-state drives are going to pick up)

With u`r mobo, afaic, I`d use the 80g to house the OS & Utils, possibly music. Then utilize the remaining sata slots to setup a cheap raid0. If u`r after 500g, u could just add another 250g to what u have (give u about 475g all said and done). U can use that for u`r games, anime and so on.

Plenty more messing about involved there (and if u have Uli Raid on that ASUS, I find it a pita) than just plugging in a new 500g ;)
