Hi, I just got a second hand Scythe infinity but I need a new 4pin PWM fan for it what can everyone recommend in the £4-£8 range, was tempted by the Nexus but I've read its a bit noisy.

thanks

Fans OCZ use on the Vendetta2 keep u looking back at them to see if they're actually working - cos u can't hear em !

No idea how much they cost.

Nexus specs look good, but from what I could find out the high speed range coupled with the stiff clear plastic frame doesn't make for a quiet fan.

I've seen the Arctic Cooling fans but I've got no personal experience with them. (not enough posts to add a link)

There does seem to be a lack of choice with PWM fans, my plan was not only to put one on my Scythe infinity but to also use one as a rear case fan.

Sounds like the usual story then, if you want quiet then you get low airflow. I have a few of the Nexus 120mm 3pin fans and they are pretty much silent but have the cfm equivalent to a nat's fart, okay to use as intakes though.

I'm not willing to shell out for Noctua's so I'll never know if the hype is really true:(

Anyone have a Xilence Redwing PWM they can comment on as they are available on Watercooling UK, if not I think I'll just go witht the AC version and report back
