I received my thermalright shaman and boy i'm impressed. I've seen up to 30c drop games. Thats crazy! I really like how quiet it is.

Not keen on it to be honest, never understood why they put in the random cut ins in the middle of the 2 faces, what cooler was the 30c drop from?

Its the HR-03 isnt it? if so im betting longer than my artic cooling ones, fitted the hr-03 for a friend just over 12 months ago and was round when he cleaned his rig out the other week and they were all holding strong, some of my artic cooling ones were off within 2 months and i did the same for both instalations.

Hmm not sure if it's the pic but that PCB looks awfully bowed to me. Mind you, with all that weight pulling down on it it wouldn't be surprising !

I did look into this cooler, but concluded for what it cost I could pretty much fit any cooler on there and wouldn't lose half my case. Quality looks nice though.

Yeah it was bent. ram sink were the wrongs ones :\

and they will stay on i lifted my card without the massive heatsink on no prov and i had to fight to get the ram sink off...

Yep ive seen a few people just take off the old cooler give it a quick wipe with some loo role and whack on the new and wonder why they have problems, idk what was with the 2 of my artic cooling ones tbh, all the others are well stuck on its just 2 that didnt play ball, ended up stealing some spair ones off a different mate when he got his, they decided to stay well stuck like the rest.

Tony. I have noticed in your CPUID link that you have used this on a GTX 470. If that is the case how did you cool the ram and VRMs? Does it come with sinks for those or are they seperately priced?

In other words, does this cooler come with everything needed to use on a 470 or are there any surprises?

I don't mind paying the £60 for the tranquility but I'm not forking out extra for other stuff. Thermalright have a nice friggin habit of doing that.

Sorry to pester you mate but I want to make sure this is the right cooler to get. It's not cheap lol.

Edit. Never mind mate. I decided on a different cooler.. Will explain the reasons in a minute.

It wasn't the cooler that put me off Tony, it was the company selling them. You can only get them in one place in the UK and I had a bad experience with the company before. Still, the Zalman shall suffice, it'll just make a bit more noise

Mind you, as you know after the stock cooler you're left a bit deaf any way so anything will seem like silence
