Really laggy firefox

Anyone come across the firefox lag problem. When I download an image from FF to my pc, it hangs FF for a good 10- 15 seconds depending on the size of the pic. It used to be really zippy doing image downloads but now its like zzzzzzz

When things start going fast on downloads then its usable but it seems to take an age for transfers to start up with the downloads box. Any ideas?

Try re-installing FF? I havn't encountered this problem but, I'd back up my bookmarks and try a fresh installation.

How do you mean fella? Do you mean a general windows, remove, scandisk, defrag etc thing?

Spot on . Open up the downloads window in FireFox, and click clean up .

I handed out some reps for that, to the op.. oops (SuB, consider yourself repped ).
