REALLY annoying problem

For some reason, just today it's been REALLY bad, but it seems any game I now play that might be a bit intensive, its just stops working. I will be playing a game and everything will be fine, then all of a sudden the game disappears and it says that the .exe has stopped working.

Any ideas? It's really pushing my patience at the moment as I like playing games a lot.

Is your overclock stable? I've encountered this problem when the OC has become unstable. I suggest at least 10 rounds of Intel Burn Test at maximum stress and then 8+ hrs prime blend to check it's all still good.

check your temps fella i had this problem with the CPU/GPU getting to warm.

Ok will do both of those! I think the temps were ok last time I checked, GPU sitting at around 39 idle 45 to 50 load, and CPU was 41 idle 49 load. Will definitely do some more stress tests as last time I did them I did them for only a little while.

not sure how high them chips can get but they seem fine,i run HW monitor in the background then play a game for a few hours (one that supports multi core) or run 3dmark06 then i look at the max temp that the cpu got to

Yeah I turned the clock down after running some Prime and Intel Burn Test. It seems absolutely fine now. If I get any more problems, I know where to look!
