Re: Router Help

Hi All,

I've just recently joined O2 broadband and need a bit of help.

I used to use a Belkin N1 which i cant used soley as its not ADSL2+, is there any way i can use the O2 Wireless Box II (TG585v7) in modem mode and link it to my Belkin N1?? If so any instructions??

If not, what would be the best modem router to purchase (£120 Max the less the better :p). The router has to be gaming friendly, network devices to connect PS3, Xbox, Desktop PC and 2 Laptops. With my previous router ive always had problems with my ps3 & xbox with the NAT settings .

Someone please help me

Cheers

Ricky

Disable DHCP on the Belkin router and connect it via ethernet to the O2 router. Sorted.

Make sure DHCP is enabled on the O2 router. ;)

Thanks, but i want to use the belkin so i can assign static ip address to the devices on my network, use the DMZ and use it for port fowarding. There are a few threads on adsl2forum but once i use their template i cant configure the O2 box.

I'm new at all this and it really confuses me

If i cant use my belkin, whats the best modem router to buy, preferably one that allows you to put more than one device in DMZ at one time, also good wireless stength etc?
