Hey all,

Using my Deathadder in Vista 64, running driver version 1.08 and firmware 1.27, as below:

The mouse works but isnt using the correct drivers, its still using the microsoft ones although I have tried to update them, here is what my device mananger looks like:

As you can see the Deathadder is listed just not in the correct section

I have also just tried flashing the mouse back to firmware version 1.25 but still no joy, everything is fine till I restart then its all back to standard drivers.

Anyone else had any problems like this?

Thanks, Sam

It isnt, it means the microsoft drivers are controlling the mouse over the Razer ones.

So any changes I make in the Razer control panel have no effect on the mouse.

i have the same mouse, firmware and driver and i'm currently in vista64..

changes i make in the razer control panel definitely apply to my mouse

for example, if i change the polling rate, i notice the change and can also measure it using mouserate

the entries for my DA in the device manager looks just like yours, so i'm not sure why it shouldn't work

did you install the drivers as an admin?

have you tried completely removing them (scouring the registry for razer etc.) and reinstalling?

No joy, just uninstalled everything and used driver cleaner pro to remove anything left. Reinstalled and still getting this issue, really starting to irratate me now.

don't suppose you have a spare hard drive to try a quick clean install of windows xp or vista? *shrug*

or another system to test it on?
