Ray Tracing and DLSS are coming for Fortnite on September 17th

Not sure I get it... games like this, and twitch games etc. FPS is king. Why would you enable RTX to hinder yourself?

I think it's fair to say that Nvidia paid Epic to do this as a form of advertisement. They're about to have their tech in one of the most popular f2p games.

how many 14 year old readers has OC3D? :D

Well... hate to say it but I think the demographic of ages playing this would suprise you.

Most charts you find only look at 18-24 age onwards which is 63% of the total players. but someone did look at 10-25 and that made only 50% of the total users.

With both new consoles supporting raytracing, I don't think Epic needed much convincing. Some of these changes will come to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Since Fortnite itself isn't very hardware hungry, we'll have to wait for an RTX performance review, I guess. It's a game that definitely didn't need raytracing at all and I think it doesn't really look better with a somewhat cartoonish world and now super realistic reflections in the windows. The shadows under the car in the second screenshot looks nice, though.
