Random x101 Bluescreen?

Hey i've been running my 4.5 Ghz @ 1.250 for about a month now and i was just playing minecraft today when i got a blue screen all of the sudden (x101) so i added .05 (1.255) and i'll see if its fixed, but is this a sign that my cpu is breaking, or is it just because i was doing something that i normally don't do? (Running a server and playing minecraft at the same time) should i back off my overclock?

What CPU do you have? These volts might be to low but there are more experienced ppl here then me so...

its a 2500K and i've had the volts at 1.250 for a whole month and it passed 6 hours of prime so i doubt the volts were too low?

I used to have this problem with my 2700k @4.8 and 1.39v but got it fixed by raising the volts to 1.4v

yeah but this just happend out of nowhere it's been running fine for a month and today i just got bluescreened...

For a long time I kept my CPU @5.0 with 1.46v and all of a sudden I had to raise the volts to 1.47 and 2-3 weeks later to 1.48v. Not sure why but my "theory" is that over time at so high volts it starts degrading but in your case the volts are not so high so I may just be wasting your time. Hope someone can help you though...

Have there been any changes don on your PC ,bios update/changes ,hardware or something else ? What is the max temp(stress test)

Nope nothinghas changed as for the max temp im not sure ill have to check tomorrow but i have a H60 so theres no heat problem...

Actually i did put an additional 500 gig seagate harddrive in but that couldnt be the problem can it?

Asus sabertooth p67 corsair hx 850 and its all about 4 months old

Well thats good stuff,i do not think that you cpu is degrading, more like the motherboard lost a small power from cpu to hdd

You have been on some great volts on the cpu, many guys are on 4.5ghz and 1.35v and if your cpu will be stable on 1.260-1.30v then you have got a good chip (5.0ghz)

Haha i certainly do have a great chip i can do 4.9 Ghz at 1.385 and 5.0 at 1.430 what i dont understand is, why does 100 mhz (from 4900 to 5000) need so much more volts?

I cant explain that hehe but thats just the way it works other wise guys be going for 6.0ghz, mine was 5.0ghz 1.42v , 5.1ghz 1.46-7v and 5,2ghz 1.51-2v and after 4 months of 5.2ghz non stop folding

(full power) i have got some (degradation?) need now 1.43-4v for 5.0ghz

yeah my chip does ask for alot more as i go past 4.8 for some reason but it needs very little below that
