I wasn't quite sure where to put this, so if it's in the wrong place then by all means move it
What I wanted to know was if any one had ever managed to connect a PC to a TV and it actually be a viable method of displaying the picture?
When I originally built my silver machine I wanted it as a back up for running RMA and stuff. I put it downstairs (media would have been awesome) and connected it up to my 42" Sammy plasma. However, the picture was not only a load of tripe but it didn't even fit the screen properly. It did detect the HDMI TV but for some reasonw when I resized the picture (to fit properly) it kept reverting back to stock and effing up all the time.
It also looked CACK. In the end I carried the silver lump back up here and rearranged my entire room to run both at the same time.
Sooo.. What are your experiences of connecting a PC to a TV? Has any one managed to get a decent fitted picture out of it? Every time I have ever seen it done it either doesn't work or looks utter cack.
