But wot they did say is my ram might not be compatable, the ram ive got now is pc4000,

this is wot the board supports: - Dual Channel DDR/DDRII memory technology*

- 2 x DDRII DIMM slots

- Supports DDRII667/533

- Max. capacity: 2GB

- 2 x DDR DIMM slots

- Supports DDR400/333/266

- Max. capacity: 2gb

also would that explain nothing appearing on the screen?

do i need new ram?

quick response please

Nope should be fine mate. Easy way to test is to unplug the ram, boot up the PC and see if it gives you a beep code.

it doesnt seem to give me a bleeping noise, but is there anything id need to plug in so that if sumit is wrong it bleeps?

ta for the quick reply mate

Have you made sure the system speaker is plugged in? It wont give a beep if its not;) .

Did you get the hiper in or try your old PSU 1st? Have you tried both your new card and the 7600?

ive got the new psu in, but did try with old anyway, and no i havnt pluged the bleeper in lol :(. isit straight forward to do, as it doesnt give instructions how to in the book.

Amd ye i tried both graphics cards.

Yeah if its a normal speaker it shouldn't matter which way you put it round on the motherboard header.
