Ram will only run 1333 mhz :/

Hallo dear mates.

Have a small problem here, and can't see where i do fail. So will ask on your help, have some lovely Corsair Dom plate 1866 mhz ram. But on my X79 Asus Rampage Formula they will only run 1333 mhz and not get the system to go down :/ Normal speeds like 1600 / 1866 will get system to not start and i know my ram is working fine, have testet them on Z77 and Z87 chip set boards.

And i'm useing windows 8, can that have something to do whit it ?

After going back to the old windows 7 and still have the problem. I will like some lovely HELP here!!

This is just a post to say, that i have fixet my problem.
- After a good read up on ROG forum and then learn my way around the lovely Fomula board.

I dont know why my board will not let me do my timings and mhz my self, but after useing the "al overclock turner" and set it to XMP, then my ram is back to normal and it keeps it there
