We just need to know things like what motherboard you have. What slots are available on it. Usually the motherboard will have the model writen on it, also you will be able to see what slots you have available. So pop the side of your case and have a peek!

If your lazy or cant find the correct details, download and install something called astra32 from www.astra32.com, once ran it will give you a detailed report on whats inside your pc.

Download this: http://www.cpuid.com/download/cpu-z-140.zip

Run the program, go to the "About" tab, save the validation file, follow the link in the program, upload the validation file to CPU-Z and post back the link to the verification page please.

That will give us all of the information we need to know to be able to help you.

Thanks for the help, but I'm unable to try this out right now as somehow my PC fails to start up now... Every tiem I turn it on nothing dispalys on screen and it just keeps on beeping. All I did was look inside, carefully remove the RAm and placed it back in, the right way. I've doen this tiem and time again with no porblems... know why its doing this?

It was the RAM - got it sorted now, thanks! Here are some details...

Memory - DDR2-533 SDRAM (Micron Technology)

Board Model -NEC COMPUTERS INTERNATIONAL GA8TRC410M-NF

That make any sence?

I have ordered this for my new system, becuase i found it cheap and it is reviewed as the best mid-range DDR2 RAM by custom PC, it sounds pretty overclockable too.
