I am going to build a new pc. I am going to buy Asus striker extreme(680i) motherboard. But i'm really confused which memory to buy. It says on the specs that 800mhzram can be used. But it also says that 1200mhz sli ready ram can be used too.

I am thinking to use the ram stated below.

OCZ 4GB Kit (2x2048) FLEX II Series DDR2 PC2 9200 1150 MHz Dual Channel Water Cooled Flex II XLC Heatsink .

Please help me if this is the correct ram that can be used or what is the best for the motherboard.:worship:

I believe that should work, however going for 4 sticks of ram in the board is a bit of a no no.

I wont guarantee you will get that speed, but around 1000mhz you can pretty much be a assured of. is it vital you get the striker? are you going to have sli?

Yep,

I might have 9600 sli or 8800gtx sli. Thats why. And the RAM is also cheap. Only £105. So might as well go for 4 gb of ram you know. Thanks for your help.

I would ask this on the OCZ forums, as they test these kits on allot of boards, look for a guy called Tony.
