RAID set ups

Na M8 would not work as the raptors are faster drives than the Hitachi,they have to be the same speed but you can do it with the same drive so yes 4 X Hitachi raid 0 or if you got the cash 4 X raptors WoW how fast would that be :D
 
4x Hitachi raid 0 sounds excellent - I love mine - yeah they aint as fast as the raptors (individually) - but put 4 together, should be great competition.

Yep thats the way to go 4 X Hitachi sata II raid0 using an off-board controller not much would stand in its way.

yeah but his wissle blowing about being the fastest and higest scroes are due to his spear time and cash flow! Like was coment on here the other week
 
That may or may not be the case Take Shamino top bencher do you think he has got where he has by not having the best and time but apart from these things you need to know what you are doing as this is the most important thing of them all, i could give you the same kit as me or mav and i am not blowing my trumpet but i don't think you could get what we have both worked hard to get,I don't see you on any of the top benches at all, yes it does cost money and time but unless you know what you are doing then whatever kit or time you had you would not get great results.

You know - on a personal note, I dont have to run to boardy with my kit to get teh best out of it!!

Spare time? Not really mate, but I do (and have) invested a lot of my time, blown up a lot of stuff and had highs and lows of benchies, but I think it's fair to say that we can take this on msn - I am not going to indulge your jealousy on a friendly forum such as this.
 
Didn't run to all the same mate, far from it as it goes, run away it be!

I spoken to Intel and i duno if i should let you know the good bad on that chip!! Just carefull or BIOS is all i'll say
