Well, again it depends on how lazy you are should you get a failure.
You will still need to reinstall everything and get all your programs set up how you like them.
That is unless you image your PC of course.
I have to say, going from a single drive to 2x1TB drives in RAID 0, I didn't notice too much difference. I did notice a small difference when I went back to a single drive though only in certain situations. That said, it wasn't anything bad or dramatic.
It really does depend on if you care about the risk or not. Once you know what RAID 0 is and how it works, then you're as clued up as the rest of us and only you can know which way you want to go.
The read and writes will increase with each extra drive, as does the potential chance of failure which will require a rebuild.
Basically, I think it comes down to how lazy you are.
Ooo that said, if you're not moving large data regularly, then having the benefits of RAID 0 will be negated somewhat. It might help with game level loading times, but not by much.
