Hello all, I will soon be setting up a triple 36GB Raptor RAID-0 array and using 15GB - 18GB as the system partition size. Using the NVRaid Controller on the DFI Expert mobo.
ATM, on my back-up system, I am running a RAID-1 array using 2 x 160GB Samsung Spinpoints and had no problems setting it up and used the default stripe size of 64KB because of the relatively cheap prices of hdds these days.
Now, with the triple Raptor RAID-0 array, I have to be a lot more careful and ensure that I am using the drives' capacities to their highest potential/performance and this is where my knowledge in the subject is lacking and needs improvement.
So could anyone explain, or link to an article or guide that goes over this subject in layman's terms and make-a-me-a-one-a-happy-a-customer-a! LOL
Thanks!
Peter
