Radiator for CM Storm Trooper

Hi everyone,

I've been thinking about water-cooling for a long time now and finally decided to go through with it. Now a have a few questions as I came to a few minor complications and would be extremely grateful for any help you could provide.
First of all: I'm from Germany, so English isn't my native language, so please bear with me, if I make any mistakes :)

So my case is a CM Storm Trooper and I decided on a 280mm radiator in the top.
For now all I want to cool is my i5-3570K, but later on - as I get the funds for it ;) - I might want to put a GeForce 580 in the loop, so my first question is, if a 280mm radiator can deal with that or if I should get another 240mm rad in the bottom of the case?

And now to the radiator itself:
Originally I was pretty set on the XSPC EX280 but as I measured out my case I realized that I've got only 60mm room for the radiator, because of my CPU fan socket and with (25mm) fans the EX280 would get up to 61mm.
I don't really want to work on the case in any major way and without removing the handle a 140mm fan also wouldn't fit on the outside.

So I thought about three options:
1. Getting Either a Koolance 280 30-FPI or a MaciCool Slim Dual 280 MC which are a tad slimmer and I could fit everything inside (56,6 and 54mm respectively). I don't really want to go for this, as I've read the Koolance is build for higher fan speeds and the MagiCool seems to lose in the cooling capacity. Also it still seems like a tight fit, but maybe someone with more experience can tell if this would work out
2. Check for slimmer fans, but I couldn't find any reviews for good slim fans, if there a good models out there this might really help.
3. This is a stretch and I don't know if this would work so I would appreciate your comments:
The biggest problem is said socket, everything else lies a few mm further down and it only affects the outer fan. So I thought about putting the left fan on the outside, as there is enough room. On the right side there would be the handle, but as there is more room on the inside I could put it there.
Would this work or might this influence the cooling performance negatively?

Thank you in advance and I hope this doesn't sound too stupid ;)
