Be very careful when u swallow the cookies that manufacturer slides throw out to u.
We can all think back to the release notes of nVidia drivers coming out with "30% increase in CoD4" "40% increase in SomeGame2" - the figures are bllx. If it were true, there would be gigantic fps gains. If u have 100fps, u'd expect 130fps - which u won't get.
Intel/AMD used to play the same game. U don't see them do it so much tho.
Manufacturer slides are designed to make for warm and gooey crotch areas and for generating sales.
It'd be a terrible thing if we all fell for a sales pitch on the back of %age gains over previous generations, including the competition's previous gen, only for that competitor to release their new cards with slight embarassment.
