Want to overclock my processor to 4.4 or 4.5
Read the review/guide here, http://forum.overclock3d.net/showthread.php?t=51332

My question is, he mentions in the guide "So, into your voltage control and manually change the voltages from auto to what they should be. Like so. Now we have a sense of control."

What should a starting voltage be then? I am not sure as to "what they should be" is. 1.35V good to start with?

Also, this guide does not recommend overclocking the turbo multipliers, but the cpu multiplier. Is there a reason this is a prefered method?

I7 - 2600K
Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H
G.SKILL Ripjaws Z Series 16GB (4 x 4GB)
Radeon HD 7970
ASUS XONAR DX
Windows 8.1 Pro

I believe by "what they should be", he means stock voltages. The only difference is they are in manual mode, not auto.

I think the easiest way to find a starting point for stock voltage is to put the voltage on auto. Then use occt to run a minute or two on the cpu:linpack. Then monitor the cpu vcore from either occt or hwmonitor. Then manually set the vcore .05 or .1 lower from what auto was.
