Yes you read right...just when ATI pull one back with crossfire, nvidia have gone and got themselves a quad Sli beast to play with

Dell and nvidia teamed up to showcase the latest and sexiest in grahpics technology

2 x Dual GPU 7800GTX's in Sli sound nice to me

Dell are showcasing their newest addition to the monitor lineup: making gaming @ 2560x1600 possible with 16 x AF and all the gorgeous extra quality filtering on

Who wouldn't like to get their hands on one of those babies??

Read a bit more @ HeXus

This can already be done with the dual 7800 card from Asus... Hook 2 of them babies up and ur screamin' with quad SLI pwnage :D

I've been pondering the idea of quad 6800's recently :)

This is going to be another very pricey affair i suppose, but will it force the prices of other cards down?

Again, as I mentioned before in the Gigabyte post, the problem with SLIing those 6800's is that they don't have the top goldfingers for the SLI bridge. Apparently it still works all right (Tom's Hardware did it, link will be at end of comment) but Nvidia doesn't really have any drivers. You have to use the drivers that come with the card. Link: http://www.tomshardware.com/2005/12/...uad_gpu_setup/

Well, at least that is the case with the 7800GT thing from ASUS, not sure if the Gigabyte one's have the same problem or not :/

I was actually referring more to the fact that Nvidia hasn't released drivers that properly utilize the dual-core and quad-SLI. Though, now witht he growing interest in these things maybe they have <shrugs> They'll certainly release them at least now

That monitor interests me much more - Hell why would I need 4 GPU's anyways? By the time we get one of those systems setup, the new single card setups will probably be good enough to run the damn 30" dell screen.....

I think i'm too tight, I would have to be rolling in money more than Seril Sneer to want to invest in something so OTT. The Monitor prehaps, but Quad SLI, No thanks.
