Qarnot reveals their first AMD/Ethereum powered heater

i believe in the future most heat sources that dont need high temps will be computing something at the same time because its a much better idea than just wasting energy

When I first heard of this I thought it was just a take at AMD for being hot, I dunno if I should believe the concept is real or not lol

Its real, Qarnot has build things like this before and have full apartment buildings in France kitted out with them. Those designs used CPUs for distributed computing.

This idea takes the concept into Cryptomining, IE a workload that they don't need to host/set up.

It does make me wonder if the future is in ASIC heating, definitely a better idea than normal electric heaters when it comes to efficiency.

sorry but it made me laugh. Moreover when mining ETH is just months away from being finished. Vitalik will apply casper and mining ETH will be impossible.

Invest in this thing for ETH makes no sense. This is a big LOL.

LOL! Remember when we all joked about this topic? "blablabla, during the winter, I can OC my PC to keep up the temps in my room, while having increased perfomance" and now someone actually did THIS!?

On the other hand, why on earth would you use wood for a something that's generating heat? It's not like it's gonna burn down or something, but idk. All metal would result in a thing unable to be touched tho :D
