Hi Guys
My system is as follows:
Motherboard: Asus p5n-D
CPU: Intel Q6600
CPU Cooler: Gigabyte G-Power 2 Pro
Stock CPU Speed: 2.4GHz
Overclocked CPU Speed: 3.4GHz
Memory: (4GIG-DDR2) 2 x 1GIG Kingston, 1 x 2GIG Transcend
HDD: (3 Internal) 2 x 250GIG Samsung 7200RPM, 1 x 2TB W&D 5900RPM
Sound Card: Creative 5.1 (nothing Special)
Graphics Card: Asus EAH5870 V2 1GIG GDDR5
PSU: Antec 500W
Case: Cm Scout
Now I can get my CPU to 3.6Ghz In bios with vcore at 1.6 volts. (AI Tweaker says 1.55)
This clock is not 100% stable.
In the Ai Tweaker software my motherboard comes with It will let me push my vcore up to 1.9 volts.
Now to get my 3.6Ghz Stable I will have to more than 1.6 volts through.
My problem comes in when I have to set my ram. I want my ram to run at 1000Hz but I don't know what volts to set it at or what the stock volts are?
I understand I have got 2 x 1GIG Kingston, 1 x 2GIG Transcend but how will this effect my overcloking?
Please could you guys help me soon please because I need to benchmark my PC tom afternoon and if I can get my CPU to 3.6Ghz I am rate I will win (I'm not up against very good PCs)
Thanks Guys in Advanced
