PWM fan causing issues

Hi guys, i've got a strange issue going on with my loop/fans, let me explain. I have 2 PWM hubs for my water loop. On one is the PWM pump and 3x PWM Fans and on the other is 3x PWM fans.
I have one additional fan which is also PWM which is used as a front air intake.
No here is the issue, if I plug it into the top hub (3x fans) it causes the fans to run at full speed. If I plug it into the other hub the PUMP stops working but the fans are fine.
Any ideas here?
Thanks

I've always noticed this problem too, and it drives me nuts. I've tried Corsair and Bitfenix pwm fans, and if I use either a pwm splitter cable or a hub adding a fourth fan makes them all run full speed. It's almost like the PWM signal just isn't quite strong enough for four, and if the fans don't get the signal they run full speed.

probably because the frequency/speed value is being misread from having the pump involved. Pumps should never share same channel as a fan.

also what hub are you using?

Nope, well not in this case, as the pump has always sat on the PWM hub with 3x EK varder fans with no issues, it only this rogue fan, which is a Silverstone fan that causes this issue

Are these powered PWM hubs, as in with a molex / SATA connector?

One is, the other (which I only use for 3 fans) isn't. The powered hub has always had the pump and 3x Varder fans on with no issues. It's only when I plug in this Silverstone fan that the pump stops working, the 3x varder fans work as normal
