PV, You Alrite?

Lo mate, yeah we're ok atm. We've been given warning that a Tsunami is heading this way, and the warning is for right across the Eastern seaboard of Australia (which I might add is bloody huge) The quake which set off the tsunami warning system measured 8.1 on the Richter scale, so it was quite substantial. The Cook Islands (where the quake originated) is only around 4,500 km away from here, so the tsunami if it travels as fast as the Asian one it will reach the coast pretty quickly. Although, I must say this feels quite weird tbh, as I had a close school friend pass away in the Asian tsunami...kinda brings back some unpleasant memories. :(

I'll keep you all posted here as we become more informed...it's currently all over the news. And if you don't hear from me again you know it hit lol. Peeps who shotgun first can have my gear :D

Thanks for your concern mate, it's nice to know peeps on the other side of the world have got my back and thinking of all of us at this moment.

Peace out :wavey:

you are wrong , dont forget terrorist issues

GL PV hope it doesnt hit !

Thanks guys ;)

Edit: Ok we've gotten some news that the threat has now been downgraded. It has caused death and displacement in the Cook Islands, but it doesn't appear likely that we'll see it here...thank god.

ok thats still bad since ppl still died but at least not in large ammounts

Emgland has about 200 earthquakes every month, believe it or not its just that they happen about 14-20 km underground so we dont feel the effects. The quakes that happen upto 3 km underground is where the effects are felt. Saw some program about it a few weeks ago.

Glad you are ok peeves

All we have to put up with is snow in summer. Stupid country.

Maybe you should buy/build a boat just incase. Or maybe a giant surfboard that fits a family.
