Purple borders of Doom

Can anyone assist me with a purple border problem? I have two 6970's in crossfire they have the most up to date drivers and no prior drivers of any type where put on the system was literary put together Sunday evening. Whenever i open a game the game window/full screen gets surounded by a half inch thich purple border is there a way to fix this? Ill list the system specs and os incase that will help

Any help in this endeavor would be greatly appreciated the company i got the cards from didnt even know the menu options for catalyst control center /wrist.
