Pump advise

Going to water cool in the near future. Just bought a Fractal Arc Midi V2. Thanx to Toms review! Decided to go with 2X 120.2 80mm rads. Going to cool I7 3820 with 2 XFX 7870's. What pump to go with? D5 or DCC. Running this system currently in Cosair 500R Graphite case. Samsung 840 Pro 120 gig, 4X4 G Skill 1600, Seasonic AX 850, Gigabyte X79-UP4. Thanx!

I am no expert by any means but iirc i think the D5 would be better since it is quieter and performs better. As i said i am no expert so i would take what i say with a pinch of salt :)

i don't think you can fit two 80mm rads in the arc
two 60mm's should fit thought

go with a D5, best thing you can get imo

He is using the Arc V2. The D5 is always a good choice but the ddc (depending on the model) is also very good.

The DDC is not a bad pump but can be a bit of a pain to dampen properly (or rather: can be quite noisy when not dampened properly), and is noisier than a D5 even in a proper setup.

Given that they cost pretty much the same (at least where I live) I'd recommend the D5 unless you're working in a really tight environment.

The D5 has ample power for the loop you're intending to do, and should be pretty much inaudible through the fans when dampened properly and mounted inside a case. On full speed it does produce a little bit of a hissing sound, but it's a lot less noticeable than the corresponding emission of a DDC. On speed setting 3 of 5 (at 12 V), I can just hear it when it's running on my table in the open, but even one silent fan will be louder.

Thank you gentlemen]! It will probably be a few months before I get everything together, but I will be posting up the log build. I'm looking for quiet since the rig will be on the desk at ear level. right now when I game the video cards are to noisey for my taste. Again Thank You for the advise.

Have a look at the D5 Vario. as you can adjust the speed of the pump i find it VERY good at it's job.
It's almost silent. At setting 3 I'm pushing .8 GPM through 1/2" hose. *have a look at my set up*
good luck with your build.
