PSU Fan?

Secrets

Hi guys, my PSU fan currently faces down in the case with a dust sheet or whatever underneath so it takes air from the outside of the case in and then just flows out to the rear of the case.

Is this the best way to have it? I've seen people face it up however that's just for appearance right.. I'm not fussed about it looking its best, just to have peak performance.

You may notice I've got a few posts about little rubbish things like this but I'm a perfectionist and want it the best I can get it :)

Thanks

Doesn't matter anything performance-wise, however I do agree that it looks better fan-side up as I personally don't like looking at stickers :)

Having it fan down, you must make sure that you clean the filter regularly! Having it fan up, it's best to put a sheet of paper on it when you're working in your case cause you don't want any screws to fall in there...

Beware that when you do mount it fanside up and you have a large case or short cables, the cables might not be long enough.

No need to apologize, mate :)

Some people face fan up for appearance but also If you have your PC on a carpet floor and your PC doesn't have very high feet then air flow is restricted and there is also a lot of dust.

My PC sits on a desk section which hovers around 10cm above wooden flooring (click flooring, no gaps). So I'm not too concerned about dust :) I clean ever now and again.

Thanks
