So are you supposed to buy games from it from nothing but the digital download store? I bet it's the official one at that. Sneaky way to get all the monies from game sales for it straight into their pockets.

@ zak "at the same time, fans of the PSP 3000 can take heart; Sony has no plans of scrapping this highly popular bestseller." and i doubt they would, as then they would lose money from all the people who dont have the net, as they would stop making games on disks if no drive in the new ones, no net = no buying game = no money.

Finally rid of that ridiculous UMD drive. The thing really was just dead weight if you think how cheap flash memory currently is, and broke down fairly easily too.

a flash cart similar to the ds would have been good, and let people without the net buy game still

Yeah, I don't understand the lack of second analogue either... FPS games sucked on the PSP1000, which is the only one I owned.

Well, I am a huge fan of the PSPz. And think some of you guys are being a little harsh.

Yes, it is ugly but can people remember the PS3s first look? The PSP has kindled new respect from me after I flashed mine with custom firmware and now allowed to play GBA/C games. Not to mention the heap of other consoles it can emulate.

So meh. Ill get one.

No idea how the first ps3's looked, but I know the controllers looked like two bananas glued together.

The PS3 in alpha stages looked butt ugly. And at this point in time it is very hard to flash the PSP 3000 since Sony have closed off some of the EEPROM.

hadnt seen them in alpha

yeh thats the only thing bout the 3000s. I did have a 1000 but killed it trying to fix my dead wifi. Will have to wait for more 3000 downgraders to come
