Sup guys :)

I need some help....
Ive been doing some research online on how or if i can hook up my ps4 to the swift...
I know the ps4 only outputs 1080p and the monitor only has 1x DP but not bothered about swapping cables around now n then.
BUT does anyone know if a active HDMI to Displayport will do the trick?
I dont have room for another monitor.
So far ive come up short on a actual answer.
So i may take a leap of faith and buy a HDMI to DP adapter and see if it works?
Or if any forum members happen to have a active adapter, a ps4 and a Asus swift to test this for me?

get an hdmi switch. push a button and your source changes. simples

Not that simples because it only has a single display port.

Yeah presumably an active adapter will work, resolution will sort itself out and youll possibly need another audio output from the PS4. I didn't bother with my PS3 when I realized the swift has no HDMI.

Yeah thats what i was thinking, i already have the audio sorted by using the optical output on the ps4.
Im just gonna take a leap and buy a active adapter and cross my fingers.
Something like this...

Please let me know your results. If successful I wouldnt mind trying it myself as my pc has been stripped down at the moment.

Hey guys, a update on the topic above, i brought a startech active hdmi to displayport adapter so i hooked up the ps4 to the Asus swift PG278Q and unfortuneatly i wasnt successful :( not even a flicker so as far as im aware you can not play the PS4 on the Asus Swift. Help this helps others who was looking into the same thing.

Does it work with anything? Have you used a hdmi from your PC through the adapter just to kinda see what might be the issue.

Yeah i tested it using the onboard hdmi port and the adapter and it worked fine, im guessing must be something ps4 side, obviously not designed to be used on DP at the swift res.

That is what stopped me buying the Swift, because of only having a single Display Port connection and didn't want to take the risk of the Xbox One not working on it, so I got a 4K monitor instead.

Glad to see that I made the right choice as I would have kicked myself if it would have worked, as after trying the Swift it really is a nice monitor.

Yeah was unfortunate but il just keep the ps4 hooked up to my tv until i get more desktop space for anouther monitor for the PS4 :)

Hi Pc-convert,
I'm in same situation as you.
I have a PS4 hook to my DELL U2312HM by using this
03-converter-770x388.jpg

This converter split the HDMI input to HDMI and audio output. I'm sure there are converter to split HDMI input to output that you want.
However, the converter keep not functioning and I have RMA 2 units and the third unit is spoilt too.
you may try to find some decent brand of this converter.
I've also tried the HDMI to displayport (in my case is DVI). Also no luck of it.
Currently, I'm going to get DELL U2414H monitor as I have tried and it works.
just my opinion.

Thanks for the info :) but tbh i think its easier if i just wait till i have more desktop space and get another 27" monitor just @1080 with hdmi port and DP for pc dual screen and ps4.
