Prolimatech Super Mega CPU Cooler with 2 noctua nf-p14's

Well I called it king, since for benching and suicide runs, it is best air cooler out there for speeds and temps, which no one should use day to day. But you do have a point that a king should be in a league of it's own in all areas, not just the extremes.
Thermal paste wise, I would say the Noctua thermal paste, while it's not the best paste when it comes to temps, it is by far at least in my experience the easiest paste to work with, put that together with the simple yet sturdy mounting system of the Noctua, makes it great for novices.
Price wise between the Silver Arrow and Noctua, depend on regions I guess, in Australia the Noctua is actually cheaper. But yeah between these two very little sets them apart.

buildwise, the prolimatech Coolers are the best imo, very solid and sturdy.
Mounting system: Noctua's and Prolimatech are both equally good imo...
Thermalpaste: PK-1, NT-H1, and chillfactor 3 from TR are all equally good...
Pretty much every Thermalright cooler is excellent though,
Single Tower: Venomous X and Archon are the best in its class together with the Megahalems, Semipassive Coolers: HR-02 is the best. Twin Tower: Silver Arrow is the best on par with the D14.
Eventhough the fan mounting clips from the Noctua are very good and simple to use, a lot of fans are not compatible. The Thermalright ones are a bit annoying at first installation (you still get it done in a minute, just do it before mounting the heatsink) you can pretty much use every single 120mm and 140mm fan with it. Also the fans are more quiet than the Noctua Ones and are PWM...
At the end of the day, i'm just the type of guy who defends the guy (or heatsink lol) everbody is picking on, @overclock.net i was actually defending the D14 againt all the people who said it cannot compete with the silver arrow

But back on topic and giving advice, if you think the Noctua NH-D14 is too big Firat, I'll also assume you think similar two tower coolers (Silver Arrow) are too big as well. If that's the case than the Prolimatech Megahalem or Mega Dark Shadow (Which ever is cheaper, in Aus they are the same price, but the Dark Shadow looks cooler
). Since the little bit of copper they added in the Super Mega doesn't make any real difference so you might as well save the money.

The convex base means you are able to get more heat out of the centre of the CPU, which is what you want, the main problem if it, is that you need to apply a larger mounting pressure, which could damage your CPU.
Also have you seen Frostytechs system setup? It's a fully artificial way of generating the heat instead of getting a CPU and running Prime, yet get a hot plate and pump 150w of heat into it, which doesn't take into account overclocks, and efficiency.
