i decided to actually make somthing of all the crap bits i have had lying around my pc room for yonks

and here it is:

AMD Athlon 64 3200+

DFI Lanparty SLI-D

512mb Corsair Value Select

ATi X300

Maxtor 80Gb SATA-2

NEC DVDRW

E-Z- Cool PSU 400W +/-ish

one of aqua pc's value gamer case thingy's

i cba installing an OS yet

i aint found my xp disk, its arround somwhere...

after some fiddling with some lights

quite a nice two tone effect i think personally

tangled mess that i cant really hide in this case unfortunatly...

looks nice imo

what do you all think?

How you call the crap! Half decent setup really. That DFI board was like the best board of it's time, and nothing you can shake a stick at still.

Nice overall, tidy up though and install an OS. Dual boot, XP and Ubuntu or something

i was quite tempted to do an ubunto install actually

i have it on my laptop, and like it

but i dunno

i like xp too, and xp is more compatable

and considering i will be using it on wireless, xp is more ...well...better at that

my linux laptop just has a mardy every time i try and make it stay connected...it really doesnt like it

and AMD FTW!

this stuff was some of the best when it came out

exept the graphics card, obv, and ram.....and hard drive....but the motherboard was second best, and the processor was teh shiz

Pretty nice , I have been doing something similar with 2 other systems , fixed a broken case (the light was not working and not reading the volts), now have a comp in that , use it for LAN games rly .

Dangerous game, starting up a 2nd rig, even from bits.

A few years down the line, the 2nd pc becomes a better pc and suddenly ur making a 3rd pc from "bits".

and rast, i know what ya mean, been there and done that before, but due to finances had to sell my older one on before

but yea, i shal build up my collection again

I want just 3, but I need to get passionate about offloading stuff.

There`s some laptops around somewhere too, one of them is in bits atm. atm=almost 9 months.

LOL, right collection

i have my main pc upstairs, best spec, an X2 4200+, and 2 gig of ram, followed by that, 3200+, 939, with 512mb

downstairs pc, a 3000+ 754 socket, with a gig of corsair ram

and then two laptops, a 1.4 GHz Celeron w/768mb

and a 1.66 C2D w/1 gig

Yep there`s some 939 and 754 in there.

939 is such a hard socketed pc to just get rid of.

i know, 939 is just so stable, and still quick enough for just about anything you can throw at it for today...

1.3500+ winfast 6150 mobo 2gb of ballistix ddr500--dont use it much,but meh....

2.opty 165 lanparty ulta d 2gb of g skill ddr500----still love this thing,it flies
