The case is the coolest part about this build, hehe... Here's a piccar of it.

Oh wow, Neva seen a case like that. The CD-Rom drives on the side. Beutiful! Looking forward to seein pics of it done.

Build complete, pix added to OP!

Pretty easy install all together. Only problem I ran in to was that the video card was like 1/4mm to tall to slide the motherboard tray in through the back so I had to sand the top edge of the card just a tiny bit to get it to fit in. After that, no problems!

I took a bit of time and ziptied all of the cables together and got them to lay down on the bottom of the case pretty well so airflow throughout the case is superb IMO. What an amazing little case, very well constructed, glad I chose it for this build! The only complaint I have is that the side fan on the reverse side makes a ticking noise every 3 seconds, going to have to get that replaced, it's driving me nuts.

This motherboard doesn't look like it gives me any clocking options whatsoever, only memory timing options, and that's it. I havent played around with Clockgen yet but I'm sure there is probably a way to clock this board from within Windows.

Cheers!

Extremely slick little rig mate and the LiLi was a great choice (even though I prefer the black:p). I know it must be hard stepping back to the speed of this rig compared to the calibre of the ones you've had in the past, but you've made an awesome effort under the circumstances...And I'm a firm believer in making the best of a bad situation. Kudos to you on an excellent effort. :)

Thanks PV! It is quite a hit, but it really runs pretty darn well for it's age and the low-end components in it. I can run all of my games on high or even very high settings + AA without any hiccups and it just generally gets the job done.

Think I made a good decision in the longrun.

Hit me up on MSN when you get a chance mate.

That is an awesome case, pics I seen b4 this didn`t do it enough justice. I`d`ve prob gone for black too, but the silver look is great also - along with those opticals u have ;)

That side panel where u`r opticals are, does it take regular-size-thread case screws to hold it in ? I know u have a LL flavor to the ones in it atm, but could they theoretically be replaced by the ones that hold in u`r pci blank plates or case thumb screws ?

Excellent Job there frag. Hows the temps and noise levels?

Temps are very very reasonable, much better than anticipated, and better than in my full size case. It's not the quietest case ever, definitely not loud either, rather average. The side fan on this case however creates a slight clicking noise that's annoying as hell, will be replacing that fan very soon.

The opticals match the case color PERFECTLY, I couldn't be happier about that match. And yes I'm pretty sure they can be replaced with thumb-screws which I am thinking about doing. Because taking on and off the side panels is a total PITA as it is.

tbh frag, that looks really cool :D

love the case

and pentium 4's aint THAT slow tbh :)

Nah they aren't that bad, the computer runs very well, and games play very smoothly at max settings with the X1650.

Cheers yall! :beerchug:

On a side note, I finally took out that damned side fan that was clicking on me. I replaced it with one I had in my closet, a bit more powerful too. Only problem now is that the new fan is deeper than the one it replaced, and the one it replaced was skinny for a reason. This one butts up against the motherboard tray and causes the side panel to bulge out. Not a huge deal but it makes things look a bit uneven on that side. I don't really care however now that it doesnt make that annoying clicking. MUCH BETTER! :) And cooler too!
