Well, I've ordered a new case so it's time to start out with a fresh project. The computer hardware itself is staying the same, but with a new case, and a new style of my computer, I've decided to start out a new project called Lixt.

Hardware:

AMD Athlon 3200+ Venice @ 2.71GHz, 1.59v vCore

2x 512MB Crucial Ballistix @ 271MHz, 2.86v, 3-3-3-8

MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum BIOS v1.C

Sapphire X1800XT 256MB @ 700/800 Stock Voltage

2x 80GB SATA in RAID0

Tagan 2Force 480w

Thermalright XP-90 w/Panaflo M1A

Idea's, Upgrades, etc:

Well first off, the case I'm getting is the new Lian Li PC-7B Plus II. It features front and rear 120MM fans, along with an optinal side 120MM and top 80MM.

The computer will definately be geared for silence, and performance. My current rig is silent as it is, I'm hoping to get a bit quieter. :)

Some future things I'll most likely upgrade will be my CPU Heatsink. I'm looking at the Scythe Katana CU. It looks like a possible candidate, being bolt down. I'm also hoping to get another gig of Ballistix for 4x512 pimpage. I'll also be decking out this case with some nice accessories. First I'll most likely purchase a metal power button to replace the plastic Lian Li one, to add a classy look. Then I might get a few vented 5 1/2" Lian-Li styled bays, for some more airflow. I might also add some casters, but that might look too cheesy. I will be getting the 120MM side panel kit/bracket as soon as Lian Li releases it, a part of the Plus II series of cases. I might also replace the stock front and rear fans with some Yate Loon 120MM's. This computer is going to be more classy, vs. "bling." No lights, no funky stuff, just pure quality, and performance. Me and a friend of mine might take a small road trip up to Frozen CPU this summer (Oohh, OC3D @ Frozen CPU article, possibly.), and I might get my PSU sleeved while im up there, as my friend's brother works there. Connections, leet. Anyway, stay tuned for the arrival of the case, the OC3D Review of the case, and the building of the project.
