the usual...bit of this...hacking that..ha ha ha...ive got my old case from:

And thats with 1 loop in it...im mopving the psu...going to hide all the wires and hopefully make it alot cleaner...im keeping the bay res and i think its the best place to put it (hoping it will fit between the 2 cards actually...crap...i dont think it will...bugger)

anyways..

I did put 2 loops in...meaning i destroyed the roof a little...when i say a little...i mean alot...and i havent posted any pics cos it really is that bad...

We shall see though... will do alot more tomorrow when i get home...think ill have it going with a single card in for now...just on an old mobo tray...but...

give me 2 weeks...some powdercoating...my trusty jigsaw and files and we'll be away...
 
very very nice, i could do with a case like that for my mATX build, i mite join you and start a mATX case mod project of my own, just need too save some cash after i get back from japan :D
 
go for it dude...a few people modding these cases now,...

one case i really like is the lian li V600... no one mods them..i know of one person who has and its amazing... so many cases people dont look out for..do something amazing...
 
had her all rigged up...loop was leak tested for a good 12 hours....tubing was on so secure you couldnt imagine...

Then it began...It tried to breathe...

She wouldnt post...so...ended up needing my brothers RAM to post and RAM voltage chaging to 2.1 for my OCZ RAM...

Then she posted...

Wouldnt pick up dual channel...god...here we go...

Into bios...check settings...all ok... Move RAM into other paired DDIM slots...WWOOOP!! DUAL CHANNEL 2GB here we come!!!

Tried everything to install windows 7 on a fresh install..wouldnt do it...kept saying about drivers for the Disk Drive..weird..ok,...

Install Vista Ultimate (getting on for 4am now...) Installs fine..so...now upgrade to windows 7...installs works a DREAM!! DAMN FGNVBL:N (keyboard excitement rage...honestly, she ran that good) > instantly picks up SLI...COME ON! slap in my discs for Crysis...DiRT, Grid...play crysis...SWEET AS!! she runs it very high on 4x AA at a lush FPS...smoooth...baby bum smooth... I was dancing..

Now...6.30am...time for bed... So i let her rest...get some sleep...

I wake up at 11am...im dyinng to get going and slam out some races online and rip it up in crysis shooting the world to pieces...what more could a man ask for. I was a 5yr old at christmas again...

Turn it on...

waits.....

waits some more...

WTF!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.....

She wont post...I turn off PSU straight away..check all hoses...check coolant level...scan the board like a B1 bomber with heatseekers on...nothing...

So...sneak into my bros room...check the RAM...swap it over...do like i did before...nothing..(sheds a tear..literally..im crying...) I try everything...reset cmos...pull out battery on board...leave it off...ring Tom (the god of gods with helping me on this...I have to say..this man is a ......(better not ) legend..)Ive tried the works...psu is fine in my bros rig...cpu is fine...gpus are fine..RAMs fine (will boot on bros pc but wont load OS, not powerful enough mobo) .

So now i have taken her apart...boxed all the parts up with love...shelved it...got my modding brain on for the case...and i have to see what i can do about this mobo...she'll be alive...

When she ran she was a dream...everything i wanted and more and it wasnt even overclocked,. I didnt even touch the fsb. vcore...nothing.. Its a shame...but shes ready and waiting to be fxied...so bring it on..!!

(my little story of the last 24 hours for y'all to read :P)
