the largest number of tracks ever seen in a raving game
sick, what bangers can I expect? ;)

sorry couldn't resist.

I'm not too excited for project cars. I don't see what the hype is about.

I have to prepare my Logitech Momo set. :) This is the first game in auto "simulator" since Race7 which make intrest to play with.... :)

So what is the best must have wheel to get for the PC these days? casting aside budget of course.

I used to love racing simulations

T500 RS, if you're on a budget

Anything from Fanetec, if you want some seriously well built stuff

I wouldn't exactly call that budget, especially as it doesn't come with a shifter  waaaaay too much $ unless you have a dedicated sim rig to get some use out of it. G27 at well under half the price is still not quite what i'd regard as budget. I know the high tier Thrustmaster/Fanatec stuff is another level of quality but it's wasted on occasional play.

G27 is dated, and the Shifter is only ~£80 if you look about you can get them as package deal :D

Yeah I know, but the budget option disregarding a budget still seemed expensive to me :)

Scans triple projector, four point feedback seat and the full obligatory fanatec kit would be ideal ignoring budget. Or maybe triple OLED curved 4k TV's and a few Titan Blacks would make a nicer sim rig.

Still £420 vs. £180, it's just not comparable stuff.

I do recall someone building a gaming rig into a simulation chair with triple monitor etc. Not for pretty looking, but then again it was design for performance and realism. I think that one housed 3 titans. JR I hereby volunteer you aka pressgang you into building one!

It's cheaper to just buy a track day car...

My setup is fine for me, one day when I have my own place and an excessive amount of room + money I will build a full sim rig. Promise. It will have all the Titans, full peripheral monitors. Probably the tub from a race car, they have a really nice carbon fibre tub from a Lola in the auto labs at uni, it would make an epic mod. I'll see if they want to let me haz.

Have you used both wheels?

Use them both then tell me you wouldnt wait to get the T500 rather than settle for the G27

Yeah I own a G27 and have used an array of other kit including scans aforementioned sim rig and a cockpit somewhere with a T500. I wouldn't pay the extra without having a rig to leave it permanently set up in. I don't play with it that much purely because of the effort in getting it out but it's plenty enjoyable enough when I do. I'd love a higher quality shifter and load cell brake pedal etc but not for a casual and occasional setup, it's way too expensive for that.
