Well most of you saw my Project Watew form. Now it's time for my first high end air build. Seems like me & are on the same train of thought atm. Yearning for silence, sophistication, and some overclockin'. :cool:

So to start off the thread with a bang, you'll be happy to know everything has been ordered. No waiting FTW!

Code:
[B][SIZE=4]Cooling[/SIZE][/B][LEFT]

CPU -> Thermaltake Big Typhoon - [I][B]HAVE[/B][/I] (Plan to lap!)

GPU -> Arctic Cooling Accelero X2 - [I][B]ORDERED[/B][/I] (Might lap!?)

Northbridge -> Zalman ZMNB32K w/Evercool Fan 40mm - [I][B]ORDERED[/B][/I] (Lap? :p)

-2x Yate Loon D12SL-12 Black (Front + Rear Case) - [I][B]ORDERED[/B][/I]

[B][SIZE=4]Computer Specs[/SIZE][/B][SIZE=4][SIZE=2]

-Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 (Lapped, L629A) - [I][B]HAVE[/B][/I]

-ASUS P5B Deluxe WiFi/AP (BIOS 0610) - [I][B]HAVE[/B][/I]

-G.Skill F2-5400CL3D-2GBGA (Micron D9) - [I][B]HAVE[/B][/I]

-BBA ATi X1900GT Rev. 1 - [I][B]HAVE[/B][/I]

-Seagate Barracuda 320GB 7200.10 - [I][B]HAVE[/B][/I]

-Lite On 16x SATA DVD[U]+[/U]RW SH-16A7S-05 - [I][B]HAVE[/B][/I]

-Lian Li PC-101A - [I][B]ORDERED[/B][/I]

-Enermax Liberty 500w Modular - [I][B]HAVE[/B][/I]

[/SIZE][/SIZE]

[/LEFT]

I plan to just take off the whole north bridge / mosfet assembly and keep it around in case I need an RMA. The TT Big Typhoon will cool the mosfets enough. I also heard of a trick where you can heat the NB sink with a hair blow dryer, and remove the heatpipe without damaging anything.. so in case of needing an RMA you can slide it back in. If this is the case, I'll be replacing the stock SB sink with the stock NB sink for some beastly azz cooling. :cool:

Stay tuned for more updates as stuff starts arriving!

- you wouldnt shut up about how ugly the new LL cases were, including that one when I showed it to you

then you go out and start this... this time around, no external crap, etc, - just don't butcher the a nice case this time LOL

I look forward to seeing the end... but why a TT BT? no tuniq? scythe? are they "ugly" to you? cause the TT BT is pretty fugly if you ask me

Yeah but this ones nice! Your old one had that ugly strip down the middle!

Why TTBT? Blows down on board, is fairly quiet, cheap, good mounting & proven.

Lapped my TTBT! 2000 Grit, just like my CPU. Applied an extremely (transparent) thin layer of Ceramique to both and mounted up.

Good temps thus far.

OK so heres the fan situation.

Front: Yate Loon DSL12L @ 7v

Side: Yate Loon DSL12L @ 7v

Rear: Yate Loon DSL12L @ 12v (LOUD.. ok maybe not but not as quiet as I'd like)

CPU: Panaflo M1A @ 7v (Some bearing noise but its definitely tolerable)

GPU: Arctic Cooling Accelero X2 (PWNS, got it @ 27% 2D, 100% 3D and I can BARELY tell the difference. Keeps the card under 70*C @ 700/855)

Chipset: Evercool 40MM @ 7v

Temps are acceptable, and it's silentttttttt :D

that looks awsome =]

love the case, is that a Lian Li? ...it doesnt look like one!!

and why is the motherboard the wrong way up, thats confusing...lol

cool :)

Thnx guys. I really didn't care about wiring as you can see.. plus it's not exactly easy in this case.

@ Doomie. Yes, it's a Lian Li PC-101a.
