Problems getting a display with 2500k, P8P67, 460

Hello today I finally got my parts in for my Sandy Bridge build, however after assembling the system it won't display to monitor. All parts are brand new

What I've Tried

- Reseating the GPU

- Taking at all non essential parts for bios

- checked all cables for proper connections

- Put GPU in 2nd PCIE slot

- Made sure the CPU is seated properly on the heatsink

I'm honestly not sure what I can do to make this work.

Specs:

i5 2500k

P8P67

MSI GTX 460 768

4GB (out of a total 16GB) RAM for boot

Seasonic 620watt PSU

Fractal R3 case

Do you have any USB devices plugged in?

I had the same problem yesterday and it turned out to be my steelseries XAI mouse, for some reason when it's plugged in it will not boot but as soon as I removed it, it booted. I did change a setting in the BIOS but I can not remember which one it was but it did solve it, I think it was something to do with disabling one of the USB options in "on board device configuration" or something like that.

I'm having problems with the screen resolution in the BIOS and can't see the options properly that's why I can't tell you the exact option.

Well I rmaed the the cpu and mobo and the replacements are on the way. Hopefully these new ones are problem free.

Did you try what I said with USB devices?

I have spoken to a couple of other people on other forums who have had the same problem and it seems to be common with the P8P67 and one of the 1155 Gigabyte mobos (can't remember the model) and it has turned out to be their USB mouse or keyboard causing it.

SteelSeries Xai has some amount of problems with lots of Motherboards, not just new ones.

If you got no display, I would rather watch if the GPU actually boots, it should have some indicator LEDs or something.

It's working now, when I first put the parts together it just would not boot with it plugged in, I managed to change a setting in the BIOS using my keyboard I can't remember which one thou but it's worked with it in ever since. Strange thing is thou since then I have reset the BIOS to default settings and it now boots with it in but I can't use it in the BIOS.

But like I said before I have spoken to other people on other forums and they have had the same problem with their USB keyboards and mice, different models as well. Just one of those phantom things that can't be explained I guess.

I tried the usb stuff before the sent to old board off, if there's a problem when this stuff comes back I probably lies with the GPU in which case I'll test it it on my friend's sandy bridge system.
