Problem With MSI Z77A GD55

So I got my GD 55 today and put it in the pc, It would go into the bios but If i tried to boot into windows or startup repair it would reboot, this is expected as obviously with a new motherboard you have to install a new os. I managed to track down a usb stick with a copy of windows on it but when I try to install it , it gets to the bit with the Windows logo and then the power cuts off and it restarts. I then tried going into the bios but from when the computer starts up pressihng any key caused it to restart.

I have tried resetting the cmos and trying all the ram sticks in all the different slots.

Anybody got any ideas as to what the problem could be?

Thanks

I think i'd just try to re-seat everything and make sure everything's secure. Download the latest BIOS from MSI's website and try to flash it.
Format drive to FAT32 and place the unzipped file on your drive. In the UEFI go to Utilities -> M-Flash and follow the instructions from there.

Past that...I really can't think about what this might be.

Sounds like a plan.
Also, and I don't know if this could be an issue, but try plugging the monitor into the motherboard + take out your GPU. Just to see if that is an issue,

Yeah I tried reseating everything and trying all different sticks of ram in different slots, nothing worked, Thanks for the help anyway :)

Is this really common with MSI Z77 boards? It puts me off them a little... I was thinking about getting one for my new build, but sounds like I am going to go with Gigabyte then..
