problem with ATI clone TV out.

I've just installed a brand new security cameras system, and i bought the machine with a X300SE card.

I've tried to clone the main screen with the TV by dragging the TV screen onto the box of CATALYST, and choosing the clone option. the TV turned on but there is a problem.

The problem is that i seeing on the TV a black screen instead of the cameras, but on the main CRT screen I'm seeing the cameras regularly.

So, what is the problem? how can i make a clone of the main CRT screen onto the TV screen, that it will show in both screens the security cameras and not just in one of them?

thanks in advance, Almog.

You hardware may not suppot a dual output and may only be able to display on one set at a time.

Other than that, I have no experience at all with security cameras :/

Ah now, I get this from time to time with playing movies from a pc to a TV. U run something on mediaplayer, drag it to the TV and it`s black inside the window. Drag it back and it`s ok.

I`ve never really found out 100% why it does this sometimes, even after working fine - out of the blue.

But, and this is with nVidia cards I might add, I believe it`s something to do with the overlay - output preferences/settings. Almost 100% of the time i can goto the TV-out settings thing, where it`ll say S-Vhs or composite, correctly picked, I`ll change it to a wrong one, then change back, and it`ll work.

Also I`ve found something as simple as the TV output setting for a country. The UK is I-Pal I believe, but if the output is black, I change it to german/france/whatever-Pal, then back to UK.

Don`t know why this happens btw.

Thanks for your replays,

But you did'nt actually answering my questions..

I do'nt have one interface, i mean one desktop that split to two screens, I have the CRT screen and the TV screen, and what i'm trying to do is to clone the CRT screen with the TV screen that it will show the same.

The problem which i menched earlyer is that black screen.

Rastalovich, I don't understand what you mean about changing the settings, can you be more specific?

Thanks agian, Almog.

I`m not familiar with catalyst tv options, but nvidia-wize there is an option around-abouts on the TV section that may say "advanced options" or something similar.

Somewhere around where it would let u change the resolution output to the TV.

before i bought this card i had one of NVIDIA,

but there drivers cause me lot of problems and this is the reason why i change it to ATI, anyway - someone who know how to set up CATALYST can help?

thanks.

I am a CCTV engineer but unfortunately the main systems I work with are linux based. So I'm not sure of any systems with ATi graphics cards onboard.

Most new systems run on VGA/DVI output tho as the resolution is that much better when looking at various cameras on the same screen.

Glad you got it working, soz what I posted didn't help, but it worked for me ;)

Your English isn't too bad if it's not your 1st language: but if it is shame on you!
