Won't have anything to do with HWBot as they cheat left right and centre.
If only people ran these benchmarks in good faith like most of the people I know.
I have been No.1 in the futuremark HOF charts and what does it get you, nothing, so what is the point of cheating.
It just says a lot about society as a whole tbh. Anything competitive there is cheating. Anything at all, from riding bikes to playing board games.
Never understood it. Loses the sense of greatness and accomplishment when you cheat.
I can see some reasoning on a grand scale that includes, money/endorsements/fame
but non professional competitive gaming/benchmarking etc... I'm scratching my head as to why. Are peoples lives that pathetic that they need to cheat to enjoy a game that has no value nor will be remembered in any form of grand scheme of things...
I think the same with benchmarking. I see high scores and just say to myself that they got lucky on silicone lottery. It doesn't make me think they are any more special if their score is double mine.
Yes people really are that pathetic. We have been taught not to talk about our problems, so we mostly live in a world where inside we hate everything but won't say anything because that isn't PC.
I see polls on the internet all of the time. Some of them are like, racist. Yet you see the results and if you were stupid you would think "how?" but it shows that no matter what you force people to do or accept you can't change how they feel inside.
People were actually surprised about the Brexit result. That said it all. People actually think that the whole world revolves around them and their ideals. People are still claiming it was an awful result, but the world still spins.
I've told people I voted Brexit in order to spite the Tories for f*****g the disabled and they just can't get their head around it.
A lot of the mentality behind this is uncovered in a docu about Lance Armstrong. Quite possibly one of the biggest cheaters in history.
I have a hard time putting your post together. Its hap scattered waffle writing to me... sorry.
The only thing I can thank Brixiteers for is crashing the value of the GPB so badly that I was able to pay off my mortgage and studen loan in one go using my savings. It's exchange gained me 50% more. Aside from that... well sorry but many brits I have come across haven't been the sharpest tools in the bag they voted out, then wonder why living costs have gone up and their wages remain stagnant.
Ah well, not the debate to have here.
We were discussing L. Armstrong in work on Thursday. Since Norwegians are avid cyclists, it seemed quite ironic that already, people have forgotten what he "supposedly achieved in history", and now only remember the lying cheat he has become. Surviving cancer/ helping to create the live strong foundation / gave hope to millions of people etc... all that is forgotten by many. Karma can be wonderful yet cruel sometimes.
Now i understand what you're talking about.
