Prime 95

I have just finished my build and want to do some benchmarking . Is there a good link to a free download for prime 95 for Windows 7 64 bit ??? Thanx in advance

Google "Prime95". There are a bunch of different places to download it from.

I recommend OCCT. Its my favorite stress tester. Easier to run, has better UI and lots of monitoring utilities built in.

Prime isn't really a benchmarking tool as such. sure it has elements but it's more of a stress tester for overclocking etc. For benchmarking I would look at some of Tom's reviews and see what tools he uses to benchmark various components, then try those

Oh crap, yeah thats my bad. I misunderstood you to be looking for stress testers. Yeah Prime95 isnt a benchmark, neither is OCCT or Intel Burn Test. Those are meant to stress the balls off your CPU to make sure your overclock is stable enough for 24/7 use as well as to make sure youve got adequate cooling.

actually that is what I want ... "my bad " I want to test my rig at normal settings to make sure I didn't mess something up and if all is well OC Genie to 4.2 and rinse and repeat . That being said , which ever program you recommend would be great

In that case, get OCCT. It is the best IMO.
