Pricing for ASUS' X370 and B350 motherboards have now leaked

Those cheaper motherboards are incredible value considering what kind of CPU horsepower they'll be able to run. If the price of DDR4 drops again you could easily get a high-end setup for very little money.

I was hoping the Crosshair would be a little cheaper, but the Prime looks decent too. $210 is going to be about €230, which is a little higher than I was hoping. Maybe prices will drop after a couple of months.

Well on the ram thats had me wondering, what i heard is dual channel 2400 and max of 64gb, most ddr4 i see is quad channel and over those speeds. So is that just the base of the lowest cpu on the line or the max.

Because when im looking there are very few ddr4 dual channel 2400's

2400Mhz is probably just the baseline speed. I imagine it'll be able to clock higher than that. Someone else might have more information on that, though.

Ye i hope so, i think all the dominator is over those speeds and quad channel. I think this is probably one of the most important parts of information we need for planning our builds.

Edit, that said can we use quad channel in dual channel mode ?

I wonder if someone could clarify something for me. Does the x370 have only 16 pcie lanes to be divided through one to three graphics cards or is there more?

I think that will vary between the x370 boards, and as ryzen has 24 lanes itself then the board can get away with having fewer etc. So on the hero as an example, x16 from the chipset. x16 from the cpu, then storage like m.2 nvme at x4 so on and so forth.

And they have said these are just the first we know about, we could see the full rog set, ie the code, the formula and the extreme and apex.

Im just seeing this bounced about a bit, people saying they prefer the crosshair, isnt that a bit of an odd thing to say, i mean crosshair just means amd like maximus is for intel is it not, so an example being the crosshair v formula z for am3+ and maximus ix formula for the lga1151
