Preferred Suppliers?

Sorry if this topic has been done before, couldn't find one.

Looking to build a new rig, but decent components are pricey, so figured would gauge peoples opinion.

I'm looking for uk suppliers preferably.

I am aware of Scan, Dabs, Aria , but would be also interested in peoples opinions on them and some smaller (preferably cheaper) niche suppliers i may not of heard of before.

I personally find ebuyer the best for deliveries, as you can order up to 11pm for next day delivery, and if you spend over £100 you can get free next day delivery. They also have a massive choice with good prices. If you're ordering like 1 small thing however, then they do charge a lot for postage. They also tend to be the best in my experience for returns as well. I always use them for larger orders.

For smaller orders I find overclockers and Aria (especially as you can get free delivery from Aria for being a forum member here) the best as postage is cheaper, and they tend to be more specific and have more knowledge about the components they sell.

Aria, most of the time, are cheapest. Not saying they always are but most of the time you won't find something as cheap as you do on Aria.

http://www.Yoyotech.co.uk are a good retailer as well though, I have used them a few times.

my favourite is http://www.overclockers.co.uk deals all year long, if you have forum account active for over a year(or 1000 posts i think) you get free shiping on all purchases.

theres also aria which has good gpu prices, and misco which has good monitor prices(more of a buissness computing but still has good prices)

Deceptively cheap - £5 to post a fan, and that doesnt decrease if you buy more. They are no cheaper to buy from there than anywhere else unfortunately

I did buy mine from there no problems what so ever, i agree with you about the p&p but £16.95 all in for the noctua nf-f12 fan is the cheapest i've found, so if anyone can find them cheaper i would genuinely like to know?

No, I do agree that £16.95 for 1 is still a very good price.

But I just had a look, I'm getting a 2, 240m rads so I'll be needing 4 fans, chose 4 fans on that amazon to check all prices and everything, and postage came to £19.75! It does not come to 20 quid to post 4 fans at all, you could do it for like £4...

I agree that it's still a good price even with postage, but I'm against retailers under-stipulating their prices, just to make it all back in postage. That's what people used to do on ebay when the Wii first came out, Buy it Now for 99p, postage £199, obviously no collect in person, and all just to get the top of the list in google price compare, or ebay lowest price. Just unfair competition I think, and for that they dont deserve my business

All i can say is you make a very good point about the p&p and maybe making amazon.co.uk aware of this might bring about change in the matter, but that would have to be up to you.

but that said www.amazon.co.uk is still a good site i think
