Good Morning / Afternoon

I'm looking to build a new PC for future proofing myself for about 5 years or more if i can.

the parts I'm interested in is

CPU: 5820k
GPU: MSI 980ti G6

motherboard and everything else is were i need help what is gonna be my best set up for me. I will be streaming games via twitch, music production, web design.

I will not have a 4k monitor and probably never will i currently have a 23inch hp ips screen witch in my opinion is amazing i will only have 1080p. I am aware the cpu and gpu is overkill for 1080p but i want it to last me 5 years. As ddr4 is making its appearance more and more and 5820k has more cores than the 4790k and overclocks the same to 4.7ghz.

money is not really an issue as i save a lot anyway and i am very patient as i have had AMD! for far to long and well just goes out of day after a year no matter what you get from them especially CPU never again had nothing but bad things with amd not that is doesn't work its just its just not that great in my eyes im not a amd/intel bumboy i care about quality parts and reliability is a massive thing for me.

so ill let you come up with some thing if you have anymore questions you would like to ask im very clued up on all my parts and benchmarks scores bla bla so talk away i will understand it all ;).

thank you guys this will be a massive help for me as i just keep watching videos all the time, every day for the past 3 months humming and aring to myself and getting angry because i cant decide what to get

PS. titan x i dont need that shit way to much for what it is id rather sli 980ti's witch i will later on next year plus i will be going to america soon and the 980ti is £200 cheaper over there £400!! Bargin ;)

Thanks again

George

The 5820k overclocking is all down to the silicone lottery and your abilities dude but it is notorious for not being able to hold high memory speeds that DDR4 generally brings (2800+)

Don't go overboard on a motherboard for the 5820k. It defeats the purpose. I would go with a lower end model.

So 4790k @4.7ghz with some good ddr3 about 32gb for the rendering for my premier pro stuff and extracting rar files ( I do that a lot ) how many years of the top of your head will a set up last with this go/

CPU: i7 4790k @4.7ghz
RAM: Corsair Vengance Pro 2333-2800 if you can get it I belive you can
GPU: msi g6 980ti

How Long Will That Last Me???

Thanks Guys :)

As Tom said not all cpuy overclock equally well, so it's not sure that your chip will reach 4.7 GHz. I wouldn't get a 4790k as the new generation comes out very soon.
Whether you need 2011v3 depends on how much editing you do and how much time you'd save with a 6 core cpu, also how much that time is worth to you. How long it will last you comes down to the same points.
For casual video editing get a mainstream cpu, if you do it a lot the 5820k is a great choice, if you do it professionally 5930k or 5960x.

to be honest I want it to be future proof I do not want to buy anything new for at least 5 years hence the crazy parts I just want it to work and work good :) and be capable of abit of everything gaming, streaming, editing, compressing, decompressing as that what I do everyday

The 5820k should have you covered for the next 5 years for sure. As for the motherboard I would take a look at the x99 Extreme 4 by asrock or the X99 SLI plus by MSI. Should be around the same price and have all the features you will probably need
