Prayer for Japan.

Not sure if anyone knows.

But Japan was hit by a 8.8 sized earth quake today.

And a Tsunami soon followed from said earth quake.

And has caused mass destruction.

So anyone here who believes in God and want's to send your prayers out.

Now would be the time.

I've been talking with some people from Studio Dice.

And currently I know at least one of them is okay.

If you are a believe in a God now would be a good time to pray for them.

West Coast. (USA)

Hawii.

Indonesia.

Russia.

Taiwan.

Will also be hit by this Tsunami.

It is recommended to move to higher ground ASAP.

44dead and rising I feel bad for complaining about the heavy rain and snow now. thoughts certainly go out to those affected and hopeful wishes to those in the firing line
 
this is just the start of things to come!

i predict more volcanic eruptions and more earthquakes before the end of 2011

c'est la vie - we are but self-obsessed specks that inhabit a volatile planet. big climatic changes happen every few thousand years or so.

it is only our technologies (tv, news & media) that are bringing these happenings to light. pre-AD we were ignorant. we still do not know the facts. but, we are getting there! (slowly)

but, with this said..... my sympathies lie with those that have lost loved-one's and livelihoods.

we must be grateful that they were more prepared than others. i could have been worse!
 
I'm far from religious, but the harmed ones are in my thoughts and I hope as many as possible are okay.

The earthquake was 8.9 magnitude and if you understand the difference in the Richter magnitude scale than a 0.1 differnce in 8.0 earthquake is massive.

Because of the logarithmic basis of the scale, each whole number increase in magnitude represents a tenfold increase in measured amplitude; in terms of energy, each whole number increase corresponds to an increase of about 31.6 times the amount of energy released, and each increase of 0.2 corresponds to a doubling of the energy released.

There was a Tsunami around 6 to 10 metres in height.

Also dont think of it as a natural disaster beacuse it is human fault to set up a settlements in these places, right under the tectonic plates, these earthquakes and volcanic erruptions have been happening in places like these ever since.

From what I read today there is 80,000 people missing.

I think there were some wise words from dug, I have worked alongside what I can call Japanese brothers and can only feel for their loss, but they are a resilient nation and it is a true statement of their foresight to be as prepared as they were for this sort of thing. I know they live on tectonic plates but the human population adapts and overcomes many of natures extreme environments for its betterment- Japan is one such nation.

I truly hope the loss of life is as little as possible and that they can rebuild and move on as soon as possible.

On a side note - this thread is a true reflection of teh community we have here on OC3D, friendly and conscientious and caring about all on the forum as well as those not on it.
 
I concur with what you said on both part's.

Our hearts and prayers go out to Japan.

To our friends.

To our family's.

To everyone involved in this.

...As well as the computer manufactures.

We pray that everyone who is in Japan.

And who have been effected by this event.

We pray that everyone is safe and there is as little deaths as possible.

We as humans not just Japan are truly a resilient bunch.

To Adapt to where ever we live and to stand strong against all odds.
